Tribute to Pavarotti and Caballé arrives in Costa Rica

QCOSTARICA — Two privileged voices pay tribute to two legends, Montserrat Caballé and Luciano Pavarotti, by Montserrat Martí Caballé, daughter of the most famous Spanish soprano and Simona Todaro Pavarotti, granddaughter of the great Italian tenor.

There will be two presentations on April 19 and 20, at 8 pm, at the Teatro Nacional (National Theater) in San José, Costa Rica.

The show Querida Montserrat, Querido Luciano” (Dear Montserrat, Dear Luciano) has a program that presents a careful selection of arias, duets and memorable moments from the careers of Caballé and Pavarotti.

The concert becomes a moving tribute that resonates in the hearts of opera lovers and the general public and continues to illuminate the eternal legacy of two of the greatest artists the world has ever known.

A repertoire of the Canzone and Italian opera in memory of Luciano Pavarotti and of opera arias, Canción Española and Zarzuela in memory of Montserrat Caballé will include titles such as O mio babbino caro, Ave María, Vissi d’Arte, ‘O sole mio, among others.

The Spanish baritone Luis Santana and the pianist Víctor Carbajo will be in attendance.

Tickets are available starting February 16 at specialticket.net. Prices range from ¢32,000 to ¢72,000 colones.
