The Costa Rican Caribbean will shine at the 2025 National Arts Festival (FNA). And that’s why this week’s cultural agenda will be dedicated to this great cultural scene, where more than 400 artists will celebrate the province’s diversity, heritage, and creativity.
The six cantons of Limón—Guápiles, Guácimo, Matina, Siquirres, Talamanca, and central Limón—will offer a variety of performances and activities until October 5. The 17th edition of the FNA will highlight projects selected through the Limón Creation Fund for Artists (Fondo Limón). This is an initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Youth that allocated ¢20 million to fund projects in music, theater, dance, literature, circus, and visual arts.
Heart of Costa Rican art and culture
“FNA 2025 gives us the historic opportunity to turn every corner of the province into an artistic stage, where local talent is showcased, promoted, and valued. “We want Limón, more than just the venue, to be the driving force and heart of Costa Rican art and culture for these nine days,” emphasized Jorge Rodríguez, Minister of Culture and Youth.
A little about FNA 2025
FNA Limón 2025 will offer more than 80 artistic proposals in multiple venues: parks, cultural centers, beaches, and emblematic sites such as Balvanero Vargas Park, Playa Los Baños, and the G&E Chocolate Adventure Company.
The opening ceremony will feature Elena Umaña, while Toledo will close. Additionally, groups such as Swing en 4, Cantoamérica, Voodoo, Shel Dixon, and Berenice will perform, along with theatrical productions such as La nica by Cristina Bruno—an adaptation of the play by the late César Meléndez. Sacha Wasi: A House in the Jungle and The Swan. There will also be dance performances, circus performances, film performances, and community workshops.

For those who have experienced shifts in consciousness and know that more peace, joy, and love awaits in a better living environment. A bold shared vision. A living community and hub for innovation. A sustainable ecosystem for living and working. A model for the new future.
