QCOSTARICA — This Friday, May 31, Costa Rica will be wet, the rainy weather we’ve been having all week will continue.
The forecast from the national weather service, the Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN), is that the entire country is immersed in a wide area of atmospheric instability, due tot he effect of Tropical Wave #4.
This Friday morning, as you may have already noted, the skies are cloudy, a condition that is expected to continue all day, with downpours in the afternoon. The coastal areas of the Pacific are expected to get hit harder.

The clouds, with scattered rains, are expected to continue into the night.
And, as Tropical Wave #4 tapers off, get ready for Tropical Wave #5.
The IMN official weather forecast for Friday, May 31, 2024:
During the morning, partly cloudy is expected, however, in coastal areas of the Pacific there may be greater cloud cover and possible scattered rains. During the afternoon, the development of cloudiness and rain accompanied by a thunderstorm is estimated in regions of the Pacific, Central Valley, North Zone and mountains of the Caribbean. The afternoon rainfall will continue into the early hours of the night, gradually decreasing in intensity.
