QCOSTARICA — While legendary former NBA star Michael Jordan vacations in our country, Costa Rica’s Maikol Yordan returned with a message to people “to pursue their dreams,
“Maikol Yordan Regresa a Clases” (Maikol Yordan Returns to Classes)”, a production by La Media Docena comedy troupe, premiered in the country’s theaters this Thursday, January 9, as a new option to enjoy with the family.
In this comedy, Maikol Yordan faces a new adventure: finishing his studies, accompanied by his schoolmates. The film, with new characters that join his story, promises to make the public laugh, but also leave a great message behind.

Mario Chacón, who plays Maikol Yordan, and Daniel Moreno, who plays Cordero, shared what it was like to be part of the production and what has brought them to the screens of Costa Rica over time.
Moreno comments that after COVID-19, when they released a new film called ““Mi papá es un Santa” (My Dad is a Santa),” they were a little “ahuevados” for different reasons; however, after that, they decided it was time to do a new shoot.
After two films in which they had already traveled to film, the Media Docena decided that it was time to “culminate that cycle,” so they decided that this time there would not be a trip around the world, but rather in Maikol Yordan’s head.
These films, “Maikol Yordan de viaje perdido” released in 2014 and “Maikol Yordan: La cura lejana” released in 2018, have been a huge success at the national and international levels, as they identify Ticos a lot.
Maikol Yordan, a campesino (Costa Rican peasant) is a character that makes us understand Costa Rican roots with his jokes and that is why Ticos like him so much.
