Animacon 2024 came to the National Convention Center on March 16 and 17, featuring Spanish-language dubbing artists, content creators, and streaming performers, as well as scores of booths selling t-shirts, figurines, posters, and cosplay paraphernalia.
But the real stars were the fans, who showed up in the hundreds decked out as their favorite characters from Genshin Impact, One Piece, Pokémon, Hello Kitty, Chainsaw Man, Death Note, and many other animated series and video games, proving that Japanese youth culture remains as popular as ever among the youth of Costa Rica.
