QCOSTARICA — The Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica, on Tuesday, strongly rejected the alleged intrusion of cybercriminal groups located in China into Costa Rica’s telecommunications and technology systems,” as stated by the Presidency of Costa Rica and the Embassy of the United States in our country this Tuesday.
“We strongly reject the United States’ defamation of China’s image and its interference in China-Costa Rica relations to pursue its own interests. Cybersecurity is a global challenge. China always stops all types of malicious cyber activities according to law and rigidly combats them, advocates jointly confronting them through dialogue and cooperation between all countries, and opposes the politicization of cybersecurity issues,” the Chinese Embassy said in a statement.
Finally, the Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica hopes that Costa Rica “clearly sees reality” and defends cybersecurity together with the Chinese side with a responsible attitude.
