QCOSTARICA — Though no date has been confirmed, the president of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves, said on Thursday that in a future visit by his colleague from El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, he would be interested in talking about topics such as regional integration, security and trade.
Chaves declared to journalists this Thursday after an official event on road safety during his visit to El Salvador on June 1 for Bukele’s inauguration ceremony for his second term, he invited his counterpart to visit Costa Rica to delve deeper into issues of common interest.
“I told him that we have very important issues in common in the region: the SICA (Central American Integration System), trade, collaboration and security. “I told him to come to Costa Rica and give me the opportunity to talk for a while,” said Chaves.
