QCOSTARICA — There was complete madness on the street of San José and similar long lines across the country, as lottery buyers sought out their number for the “Acumulado” that will take place tonight, Tuesday, July 16.
Similar chaos is expected today. However, many will disappointed as the many sellers reported Monday night that they had sold out. Not even a square (a fraction).
“I don’t have any chances left. The streets are crazy, I don’t have any chances, what’s wrong,” explained a JPS seller to Crhoy.com on Monday.

In some areas, reports of overpricing were reported to the Junta de Protección Social (JPS) – the lottery corporation, due to the “large amount of speculation”.
“We have reports of great speculation taking place in different parts of the country, which we very much regret. It is an aspect that is difficult to control from the Social Protection Board because. The sellers, many of them, are selling their entire btach and there are people who are going out to resell more expensively and exaggeratedly. We call on the population not to pay for these whims,” explained Esmeralda Britton, president of the JPS.
Britton added that the chances can also be purchased through the institution’s website www.jpsenlinea. go.cr. But be prepared to wait for your turn. At 7:55 am this morning the wait was at least 2 (Costa Rican) minutes
The Acumulado tonight will pay out ¢1.8 billion colones in total prizes.
