Influencers and Tik Tokers are on the list of people who hype up the idea of getting rich quick without following the rules.

QCOSTARICA — Various Tik Toker and influencer platforms or YouTube videos serve to show how to get rich without much effort and that is why an alert was published to investors by the Superintendencia General de Valores (Sugeval) – General Superintendence of Securities.

Be well informed so that you do not become a victim of a scam

“Complaints or reports have been received regarding the existence of entities that decide to operate in or from Costa Rica, which are not registered in the National Registry of Securities and Intermediaries and, therefore, do not have the authorization of Sugeval. to make a public offering of securities or stock brokerage services. Consequently, this Superintendency does not exercise supervision or control over said entities, has no evidence of their legitimacy, nor does it have information available about them,” it warned.

The most important thing is to try not to fall victim to these traps and be informed.

“We are at a time when people want to make money with minimal effort and that is why we have to be careful when it comes to securities. Just as you go to a doctor or other professional, you also look for your financial advisor who can help you,” said Daniel Suchar, financial analyst.
