“We decided we were gonna put an ad out … or multiple ads for a yoga instructor and see what would happen. We got a bite, somebody who identified herself as a yoga instructor and said they wanted to meet with us at a particular hostel… And we said … “This is, this is our chance,” Perez told Inside Edition.

Perez narrated that he and his fellow agent arranged to meet with Armstrong, who they found sitting at a table at the hostel she was staying at in Santa Teresa.

“Armstrong looked different, after having plastic surgery – including a nose job and brow lift – in her attempt to evade justice. However, her eyes were the same, Perez noted.

Armstrong looked dramatically different on being arrested, thanks to her reshaped nose and the brow lift, which sees a patient’s forehead sliced into and pulled up to create a more youthful appearance.

“In newly available images taken from the killer’s phone and shown on trial, Armstrong was seen showing off the result of the plastic surgery she received in Costa Rica,” said Perez.
