The excitement will be brought right into your living rooms. Here’s your guide to when and where to catch all the bullfighting action on Costa Rican TV.

The Opening Act: Repretel and Teletica Set the Stage

Mark your calendars and set your reminders! Repretel, on channel 6, kicks off the bullfighting festivities with the first broadcast from the Palmares bullring on December 25th at 3 p.m. Not to be outdone, Teletica, channel 7, jumps into the arena with their inaugural broadcast at 8 p.m. the same day.

A Dance of Channels: Alternating Schedules

Repretel and Teletica will be your bullfighting companions from December 25th to January 3rd, alternating between afternoon and evening shows. The schedule plays out like a well-choreographed dance – on December 26th, Teletica takes the afternoon slot while Repretel shines in the evening, and they’ll continue this alternating pattern daily. The season’s grand finale on January 3rd will air on Teletica at 3 p.m. and on Repretel at 8 p.m.

Special New Year’s Eve Event

New Year’s Day brings a special treat on Repretel, with an American-style bull-riding tournament at 7 p.m., offering a unique spin on the traditional bullfighting fare.

Multimedios: The Pedregal Ring Beckons

Channel 8, Multimedios, will be broadcasting from the Pedregal bullring in Belén de Heredia. Starting on December 25th at 3 p.m., they will cover the festivities until January 7th. Multimedios will feature two daily shows – one at 3 p.m. and another at 7 p.m., ensuring you don’t miss a single moment of the action.
